June 4, 2010:  Teamsters Joint Council 42 fundrasing dinner, auction and golf tournament will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 4, 2010.  Come to Las Vegas and support the largest and most powerful Joint Council in the Teamsters organization.

May 22, 2010:  The 10th Annual Orange County Labor Federation Solidarity Leadership Awards Dinner was held at the Anaheim Convention Center with Teamsters Local 396 receiving the Organizing Award for 2010 for the organizing the accomplished at the Republic recycling faclity in 2009. 

May 10-12, 2010:  The James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund leadership conference, golf and poker tournament was held in Las Vegas, Nevada at Bally's Hotel and Casino.  The event was a huge success and was personally hosted by James P. Hoffa, IBT President, with special guest Jerry Brown.

April 19, 2010:  Boston Marathon:  On April 19, 2010, Dick and Rich Hoyt completed their 28th Boston Marathon.  Its team of 20 charity runners, sponsored by John Hancock and the generous support of John Hancock CEO Jim Boyle raised over $60,000 for the Hoyt Foundation whose goal is to raise awareness of the challenges faced by handicapped individuals an to incorporate them into everyday society.  Dick Hoyt will turn 70 on June 1, 2010 and will again toe the line for the 115th Boston Maraton with his son Rick on April 18, 2010.
